NC Fire Chief Consulting Selected as North Carolina’s Fire Consulting Provider by the NCLM

NC Fire Chief Consulting has been duly selected as the North Carolina League of Municipalities (NCLM) sole fire and rescue consultant provider.   This selection involved an in-depth vetting process and establishing an exclusive contract for service to all municipalities in North Carolina.  All NCLM member municipalities receive a significant reduction for professional services as a result of this agreement with the NCLM.

NC Fire Chief Consulting Providing Strategic Planning to Albemarle County, Virginia

NC Fire Chief Consulting has been selected to provide a comprehensive strategic plan for the Albemarle County Fire Service in Virginia.  Stakeholder feedback, peer review analysis and subject matter expertise will provide county leadership with guidance for the coming years.  Chief Mike Varnell, retired Rocky Mount, NC Fire Chief and assessor for the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE), is serving as the lead assessor on this important project. 

 

 

 

City of Lexington Selects NC Fire Chief Consulting for Multiple Executive Selection Processes

The City of Lexington has selected NC Fire Chief Consulting to provide intensive assessment processes for the positions of Battalion Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief.   NC Fire Chief Consulting was chosen due to a proven track record of providing comprehensive a diverse assessment processes for these key positions.  Multiple Fire Chief subject matter experts from across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia are assisting in this process.  These processes are utilizing innovative digital methods to assess candidates during the unprecedented pandemic.

Chief Frank Blackley selected as 2020 Alumnus of the Year by UNC-W

NC Fire Chief Consulting Senior Consultant Frank Blackley has been selected by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Master of Public Administration Program as the 2020 Alumnus of the Year.  Chief Blackley recently retired from the Wilmington Fire Department and is recognized across the United States for his expertise in community risk reduction.  Congratulations to Chief Blackley!

Burlington Names NC Fire Chief Consulting to Select Assistant Water Resources Director

The City of Burlington Water Resources Department has selected NC Fire Chief Consulting to evaluate and recommend the highest performing candidate for Assistant Water Resources Director.   A comprehensive, diverse process utilizing subject matter experts from utility providers across North Carolina is engaged to evaluate and recommend a top candidate to the City of Burlington.   Steve Drew, retired Water Resources Director and Assistant City Manager for the City of Greensboro is serving as the lead assessor on the project.

The International Association of Fire Chiefs endorsed Brave Fire Leader Academy Program has selected NC Fire Chief Consulting to provide mentorship professional services to current and future Fire Chiefs across the United States.   Course participants are provided mentorship and coaching sessions following the completed course work.  NC Fire Chief Consulting has been selected due to extensive experience in leading and managing fire department coupled with extensive knowledge in human resource management.
